Clinic Record Management and Consultation Scheduling System

The emergence of technological advancements such as Information Systems provided innovation in organizations to efficiently accomplish tasks. The idea is to terminate the manual method of doing transactions gradually. The study generally aims to develop a web-based records management and consultation scheduling system for the Health Management Services Office or Clinic of the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC). It specifically aimed to identify the difficulties encountered in the existing processes of the following transactions: managing student’s medical and dental records; managing employee's medical and dental records; managing student’s consultation schedule; and generation of essential reports, to develop a records management and consultation scheduling system, and evaluate the acceptability of the proposed system using ISO 25010 Software Quality Standards in terms of function suitability, performance efficiency, usability, reliability,security and maintainability. Anchored from the general and specific objectives of this study, the researchers utilized the developmental research with mix method research design. The respondents were the students and faculty of CSPC. In addition, upon the analysis of the gathered data, the result shows that the frequently encountered problems in the office are in terms of the organization and security of the records., thus the study proposed the development of the system, guided by the Iterative Model. Given the features of the system, the evaluation of the level of acceptability of the system shows highly acceptable with a weighted mean of 4.22, indicating the respondents’ agreement that the developed system is Excellent in terms of functional suitability, performance efficiency, usability, reliability, security and maintainability.
